Mother's Day 2015

Mother's Day this year was great. I got to spend the day with my three little loves and Eric, having fun and getting stuff done.

We started the day with Eric letting me sleep in (until 7:15am, but that's sleeping in around here) and then exercise in peace and quiet. After that, I treated myself to an iced coffee, and we set off for Leesburg Animal Park. We hadn't been there in a few years, and Deke had never been, so it was perfect.

We had a great time. The rain held off, and the kids got to see and pet lots of animals. Deacon was especially excited since he spends about 50% of his time each day reading books about farm animals. The kids even got to ride a pony.

The best part is the contact area where the farm animals get up close and personal with you.

After having enough animal fun, we ran around at the playground area, saw a small mammal show, had a picnic lunch inside, explored the Discovery Room and did crafts, and then ran around the indoor playground.

The park was perfect, followed by a few hours of downtime while Eric's parents watched the kids and made us dinner, which we enjoyed before we all collapsed into bed. The end to a great Mother's Day.
